The former Grand Trunk/CN station operated for a number of years as East Street Station and was leased to assorted self-help and instructional groups. Reportedly, it was badly damaged by fire in 2016 and its current status is unknown. The railway yards were sold to a short line operator, the Goderich & Exeter Railroad (GEXR), in 1992 and remain in operation.
